SAREX Program

The Space Amateur Radio Experiment (SAREX) is a long-running program to use amateur radio equipment on board the Space Shuttle to involve students in exchanging questions and answers with astronauts on orbit. It is also used to conduct communications experiments with amateur radio operators on the ground. SAREX will be part of the International Space Station project. You can also visit the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) and Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT) web sites.
