- To begin using the software, go to
Start Menu -> Programs -> HRPO Ham Radio -> Radio Client
- You should see the main window.
Click "Radio Setup" to enter your login information.
(Currently, the Radio, Rotor, and Helper all use the same settings.)

- Now you can enter your username and password.
for "Remote Host", enter radio.bro.lsu.edu
Select your audio preference. Note: Netmeeting does not
work if you use a proxy server for internet access. This is a fundamental
limitation of Netmeeting.
If you use a proxy for internet access, choose the appropriate one from
"Type Of Connection" and enter the proxy host and port in
the boxes below.
If you use NAT (Network Address Translation), where your IP address is not
one visible from the internet, choose "Direct" type of
connection. If you select Netmeeting you may or may not be able to
hear any audio. Media Player should still work. Please
email me olson@phunds.phys.lsu.edu
for assistance.
"HTTP Proxy" or "SOCKS4 Proxy" should only
be chosen if you know you are behind a proxy. (Not necessarily the same as a
firewall). Most individuals at home will not use proxies, but some
schools use proxy servers. First try the Direct type of
connection. If it fails (and you think the server is up) but you can
still access web-pages, then you may need choose a proxy and enter the
hostname and port of the proxy server. You may need to contact
your system administrator to find out the proxy hostname/ip address
and the port number.
If you have any firewall software installed and Netmeeting does not
work, try disabling your software.

Now click "Save" to continue.
-
Now click 'Connect' to connect to the server.
